Maps Lead Extractor

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-11-01

Maps Lead Extractor is a Chrome extension that reads business listings on Google Maps pages you open and lets you export them. This page explains what it does with data.

What the extension reads

When you press Scan and filter, it reads the listings shown on the Google Maps page in your browser: business name, category, rating, number of reviews, address, phone number and website. For some listings it opens the business page in a hidden frame or background tab to read the address, phone and website.

What stays on your device

  • Scan results are kept in your browser while the page is open and are not sent to us.
  • Your panel settings, such as selected fields, filters and panel position, are saved in the extension's local storage on your device.
  • Exported files are created on your device. We never see them.

What we collect

The current version has no accounts and does not send your searches or results to our servers. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

If we add accounts or paid plans, we will update this policy first and describe what is collected, such as your email address and usage counts, and why.

Permissions

  • Google Maps pages: to show the panel and read the listings you view.
  • Storage: to remember your settings.
  • Scripting: to show the panel on a Maps tab that was already open when you installed.
